My paintings are created through a mystical, intuitive process. The images come to me after I look into painted patterns or lines on the surface. It all depends on mood, time of day and the medium I use. I love to try different techniques to see what and how the pictures come through my hand.

The drawings, like most of my work, are conceived by placing random lines, marks or smudges on the paper. Then, images grow from these patterns. Often, when I envision something truly abstract or very different to what I perceive is me, I will sign it SCOUT in addition to my own signature.

Bohemian Artifacts © is a line of jewelry formed by the artist, Sarah Hatch, in 2005. It is copyrighted and exclusive to Sarah's gypsy style. All pieces are one of a kind. Necklaces, bracelets and cufflinks consist of antique / found-object charms, beads (glass, wood, and semi-precious), ribbons, satin or silk threads and other strands of copper, gold, and silver wire, depending on what it piece calls for.

Classes and workshops are created by veteran artist and art teacher, Sarah Hatch, who's dream is to help and instruct art on a donation basis. Sarah's instruction encourages each student's confidence level. She has an eye for composition and colour and helps students develop this as well. Every class includes the learning of various techniques and individual style.

Classes are primarily acrylic and mixed media. Previous painting experience is helpful, but not necessary. Sarah is great with all levels of experience.
Teaching is on HOLD at this time.
These I do as meditation. It's designed and oddly balanced within a circle. There is peace within me while creating. Not thinking, just being. When I look up from this meditation, I see how I have unknowingly inserted an alternative colour here and there. Again, not thinking, just being, creating, and finding peace.
